Looking for a new revenue stream? A supplemental income? A part time or retirement income?
A few years ago Goldline launched a mobile pro shop program wherein we brought a fully stocked store right to the curling club. The service was welcomed by clubs and proved to be a profitable revenue center for Goldline. We tested the concept in different markets and ultimately evolved it into dealer program, including both retail and wholesale opportunities within a defined territory. Dealer revenue is therefore derived from mobile retail sales and from commissions on all Goldline wholesale sales within the territory.
The mobile pro shop program is centered on a twenty four foot trailer, fixtured, signed and inventoried as a fully equipped pro shop. The trailer, marketing materials and support are supplied by Goldline. The dealer is responsible for purchasing the trailer and inventory from Goldline and booking and operating the shows. The prime opportunity for shows is in the period from September though December, with events and camps providing additional opportunities in other seasons.
The wholesale side of the program entails presenting the Goldline product line to clubs and stores within the territory in the early spring and facilitating sales to these accounts throughout the balance of the season. Such wholesale sales are fulfilled by Goldline, with the dealer receiving a sales commission.
Our experience shows that a dealer can earn an annual net profit of $20,000 to $40,000 with a three to four month investment of time. The time commitment on the retail side entails contacting clubs, setting up a circuit of shows, and executing the shows. On the wholesale side it entails setting up and making sales presentations and subsequent followup.
