This served the players well, but unfortunately these materials left straw on the ice, which sometimes hindered the rock on its journey. Now the push broom, as it is known, is made of advanced synthetic materials such as fiberglass and carbon fiber that are long lasting, strong and don’t leave a trail behind them.
